The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of Ministries, Independent Departments, Government Agencies, Regional Administrations, and Local Government Authorities (MDAs & LGAs), invites job applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill 465 vacant positions as outlined in this announcement.
1.0 ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER II (CLINICAL ASSISTANT II) – 141 POSITIONS
1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide preventive and curative health services.
- Diagnose and treat diseases.
- Deliver primary healthcare services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, related to education, experience, and expertise.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a National Form IV Certificate and a two-year Clinical Assistant Certificate.
1.1.2 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGHS A.
1.2 LAUNDERER – 3 POSITIONS
1.2.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold clothes.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must have completed Form IV and a two or three-year training in Laundry Services from a recognized institution.
1.2.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to the Government Salary Scale TGHS B.
1.3 PHYSIOTHERAPIST II – 40 POSITIONS
1.3.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide physiotherapy services.
- Maintain patient records and data.
- Educate the community on disability prevention.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1.3.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution and be fully registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
1.3.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to the Government Salary Scale TGHS B.
1.4 DENTAL SURGEON II – 102 POSITIONS
1.4.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform dental surgeries and treatments.
- Provide oral health education.
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Conduct outreach services.
- Maintain patient records and statistics.
1.4.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Degree in Dental Surgery from a recognized institution, have completed an internship, and be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
1.4.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to the Government Salary Scale TGHS E.
1.5 DENTAL THERAPIST II – 75 POSITIONS
1.5.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform dental treatments and minor surgeries.
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Participate in primary healthcare services.
- Maintain equipment and records.
1.5.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution and be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
1.5.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to the Government Salary Scale TGHS B.
1.6 PHYSIOTHERAPY OFFICER II – 6 POSITIONS
1.6.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide physiotherapy services to patients.
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Maintain patient records and statistics.
- Conduct community-based rehabilitation programs.
1.6.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution, have completed an internship, and be fully registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
1.6.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGHS C.
1.7 ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER II – 50 POSITIONS
1.7.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Control and prevent disease outbreaks.
- Promote environmental health education.
- Supervise waste disposal and sanitation.
- Collect and analyze environmental health data.
1.7.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences from a recognized institution and be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Board.
1.7.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGHS B.
1.8 BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER II – 2 POSITIONS
1.8.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair and maintain medical equipment.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance.
- Prepare budgets for equipment maintenance.
1.8.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution and be registered with the Engineers Registration Board.
1.8.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGHS D.
1.9 RADIOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST II – 35 POSITIONS
1.9.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform radiographic examinations.
- Maintain radiographic equipment.
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Provide training on radiology services.
1.9.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Radiography Technology from a recognized institution and be registered with the Tanzania Radiographers Council.
1.9.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGHS B.
1.10 PROGRAMMER II – 15 POSITIONS
1.10.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, code, and test programs.
- Debug programs and ensure security settings.
- Collaborate with other software developers.
1.10.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold an Advanced Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields from a recognized institution.
1.10.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGS E.
1.11 SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II – 5 POSITIONS
1.11.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct interviews with beneficiaries.
- Collect and analyze social welfare data.
- Supervise social welfare programs.
1.11.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related fields from a recognized institution.
1.11.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGS D.
1.12 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER II – 5 POSITIONS
1.12.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop community development plans.
- Promote sustainable environmental practices.
- Collect and analyze community data.
1.12.2 QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a degree or advanced diploma in community development, sociology, or related fields from a recognized institution.
1.12.3 SALARY SCALE
- According to Government Salary Scale TGS D.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not more than 45 years, except for those already in public service.
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must indicate their disability in the application.
- Applicants must attach certified copies of birth certificates.
- Public servants applying for different cadres must submit their applications through their employers.
- Applicants must attach a detailed CV with reliable contact details and three referees.
- Applications must include certified copies of academic certificates, Form IV and VI certificates, and professional certificates.
- Testimonials, provisional results, and statements of results will not be accepted.
- Applicants with foreign certificates must ensure they are verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTE).
- Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless with permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Public servants already in employment should not apply for entry-level positions.
- Submission of false information will lead to legal action.
- The deadline for applications is 20th January, 2025.
